Bahira Trask to discuss 'Do Families Still Matter'

The Friends of the University of Delaware Library will present its 2022 Fall Faculty Lecture this month featuring Bahira Trask, professor and chair of UD's Department of Human Development and Family Sciences.

Scheduled from 4:30-6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 15, in the Morris Library Reading Room, her talk is entitled "Do Families Still Matter in a Globalized World? Empirical Evidence from Research on Migration and Remittances."

Trask's research focuses on globalization, women’s employment and family change in Western and non-Western countries. In addition to authoring several books on these subjects, Trask has worked closely with the Focal Point on the Family division in the Department of Economic and Social Affairs at the United Nations.
