UD Health Clinics Transitioning to NextGen

New Electronic Health Record consolidates clinics onto single platform

To enhance care and ease of access for patients and providers, UD Health Clinics will be transitioning its existing electronic health records (EHRs) into a new NextGen EHR system. This transition will go live on June 1, 2022.

The NextGen system is a secure platform designed to support flexibility, efficiency and convenience for the patient and provider experience. Currently, there are two separate EHRs used among the four UD Health Clinics. The goal of this transition is to create a streamlined approach through a single, secure source for providing quality care to patients across all clinics.

NextGen will automatically transfer patient data safely and securely to clinical staff. This will make it easier to manage patient documentation across clinics. Providers will also be able to follow up with care provided across different clinics.

Additionally, UD Health Clinics plans to introduce a patient portal system over the coming months. This will provide an easily accessible resource for patients to review records and schedule appointments in real time.

UD Health Clinics appreciates patience and understanding during the transition as providers become familiar with the new system.
