Dining Services to host cupcake decorating class with Chef Dana Herbert

Looking to become the next great cupcake designer? Learn from the best of the best with this sweet opportunity: University of Delaware students are invited to register for a fun, hands-on cupcake decorating demonstration held by Dining Services’ newest partner, celebrity chef Dana Herbert.

The class will be held on Thursday, April 14, at 5 p.m. in front of the Desserts By Dana location in Perkins Student Center. Participants will get to decorate and take home four delicious cupcakes. Chef Dana will teach students the basics of piping and other decorating techniques, how to classically ice a cupcake, techniques for the perfect buttercream flowers and how to decorate cupcakes using various fondant molds and cutters. He will be available to answer any dessert-related questions along the way.

Classes are $15 for meal plan holders and $30 for non-meal plan holders. Space is limited and advanced registration is required as the maximum capacity for the class is 20 students.

Registration will be available on Monday, April 4, on the Grubhub app through the Desserts By Dana shop. Students can email diningservices@udel.edu with any questions or for more information.

You won’t want to miss this chance to learn from the best!
