Bus service for summer to begin May 28

Summer route to operate from 7 a.m.- 6:30 p.m., weekdays

Effective May 28, Transportation Services will run two buses on a 45-minute loop servicing on- and off-campus locations from 7 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays. The last stop will be at Perkins Student Center at 6:45 p.m. providing a return loop to all of the stops.

Bus stops for the route are

  • Chapel Street University Courtyards
  • The Mill @ White Clay
  • The Apartments at Pinebrook
  • Main Street Courtyard
  • Pomeroy Station
  • UD Bookstore
  • The Flats
  • The Waverly
  • STAR Tower
  • STAR Health
  • UDairy Creamery
  • Fieldhouse
  • Perkins Student Center

Current COVID-19 protocols, as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, will be strictly observed. To allow for appropriate physical distancing, each bus will carry no more than 14 passengers, and use of face coverings will be required at all times. Anyone who is sick or has recently been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 should not be using the buses.

All buses will be equipped with hand sanitizer dispensers for passengers. Most buses are equipped with shields to protect the drivers. For those that are not equipped, the rear door will be used for boarding and exiting. Persons requiring a wheelchair ramp are exempt.
