Summer Founders program completes its sixth year
The University of Delaware Horn Entrepreneurship’s 12-week Summer Founders cohort will hold its Demo Day event on Thursday, Aug. 19, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Zoom webinar.
Demo Day is a showcase for entrepreneurial students seeking help from our community. Throughout the summer, students search for a repeatable and scalable business model in the hope of solving both commercial and social problems. On Demo Day they deliver a culminating pitch and expect to meet with audience members who may offer guidance, advice, connections to customers and, if relevant, investment.
The event will include opening remarks from Horn Faculty Director Vince DiFelice, words of wisdom from alumni, a final award ceremony and — new this year — a Connector Event that will allow potential mentors and advisers to meet the founders individually. It immediately follows Demo Day. Webinar viewers can help choose the Audience Favorite award. The event is designed to show support for students, give advice as an alumnus, or network to help kickstart an entrepreneur’s dream. The event is free.
Demo Day is exciting, riveting, intense and transformative. The event will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. For further information and to register on Eventbrite, please visit: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/summer-founders-demo-day-tickets-158618828185
