Exchange your wardrobe items with little impact to the environment

Epsilon Eta, a coed professional environmental fraternity at the University of Delaware, has partnered with UDRESS to co-host two clothing swap events. The first event will be from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20 in the Trabant University Center Multipurpose Room A. The second swap will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Perkins Student Center's Bacchus Theatre.

"The event was made with the purpose of proposing a fun way to avoid shopping fast fashion because of its negative social and environmental impacts," said Ivy Nargiz, co-president of Epsilon Eta and an environmental studies major at UD.

The fraternity also hopes to bring awareness to environmental factors in the fashion industry as part of their advocacy efforts on campus.

Entry to the event is free, but to trade clothing for free you must bring your items retired from your own wardrobe. Those wishing just to add to their collection will pay a small free to take items of clothing home. The fraternity is encouraging all clothing styles for trading, including men’s fashion.
