Lawn mower tune-up available

Annual community push lawn mower tune-up service, April 12-14, at College of Agriculture and Natural Resources

The Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) fraternity for agriculture and the Sigma Alpha sorority at the University of Delaware will host this year’s push lawn mower tune-up from Friday, April 12 to Sunday, April 14 at the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) campus. Hours for drop off are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, and picked up no later than 4:00 PM on Sunday.

Now in its 18th year, the tune-up has serviced nearly 9,000 mowers.

Running lawn mowers will only be accepted on the 12th and the 13th. The price is $40 per mower. A tune-up includes a wash, cleaning of the air filter, a new spark plug as well as new oil and sharpened blades. Service performed is tune-up only; no repairs are performed and no riding mowers will be accepted.

Payment in the form of cash or check may be made at drop-off. Checks should be made out to Alpha Gamma Rho.

Lawn mowers may be dropped off and picked up in the parking lot behind Worrilow Hall and Townsend Hall 531 South College Ave., just north of the Fred Rust Ice Arena.
