Comedian headlines show for October’s Parents and Family Weekend

Blue Hen families will flock to the University of Delaware campus for Parents and Family Weekend, Oct. 18-20, 2019. This year's comedy show will bring Drew Carey, Ryan Stiles, Joel Murray, Dave Foley, Jeff B Davis, and Greg Proops to the Bob Carpenter Center on Friday night for Whose Live Anyway?, a live improvisational act featuring audience-driven skits.

The evening's entertainment will be led by Drew Carey, a stand-up comic turned actor and producer who had the distinction of having two hit shows simultaneously: the long-running comedy The Drew Carey Show, which ran from 1995 through 2004, and the improv/sketch show Whose Line Is It Anyway? on which he was host and a producer. The success of that show led to the creation of Drew Carey's Improv All-Stars, an improv troupe that performed in showrooms across the country.

In July 2007, Carey was named  the host of The Price is Right, succeeding longtime host Bob Barker. Comedy show attendees will fondly remember many of the featured comics from their appearances on Whose Line Is It Anyway?

New program details for this year's Parents and Family Weekend celebration are being added to the website daily. Centralized registration for all PFW events and ticket sales will begin on Aug. 1. Any questions about the weekend may be directed to studentlife@udel.edu.
