Learn about telehealth, clinical research courses

Virtual information sessions on Aug. 13, 15 for fall classes

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the healthcare industry continues to be among the fastest-growing industries and is projected to add more jobs than any other industry in the next decade.

To help healthcare professionals keep pace with changing technologies and job responsibilities, the University of Delaware's Division of Professional and Continuing Studies (UD PCS) offers a variety of short-term programs that provide immediately applicable credentials and skills. Interested professionals can learn about two online, healthcare-focused programs in free virtual information sessions Aug. 13 and 15.

The Clinical Trials Management Online Certificate is a 14-week course aimed at professionals who want to enter or advance in the clinical research field. The curriculum aligns with Association of Clinical Research Professionals certification exams. A virtual information session highlighting this program takes place on Aug. 13 at 6 p.m. (EDT).

The Advanced Telehealth Coordinator Online Certificate is a 15-week course that covers the foundations of implementing telehealth for the delivery of healthcare to patients via platforms like videoconferencing and virtual consultation tools. The course starts Sept. 9, and no prior telehealth experience is required. The program’s virtual information session takes place Aug. 15 at 6 p.m. (EDT).

Most online information session participants will be able to take advantage of a 10% discount if they register for a program on the day of the virtual information session.

To learn more about the programs or to RSVP for the online information sessions, call 302-831-7600, email UD PCS at continuing-ed@udel.edu, or visit the website: https://www.pcs.udel.edu/healthcare2019/
