Accepting applications for the Coverdell Fellows program

Coverdell Fellows allows returned Peace Corps volunteers to continue their service in the U.S.

The University of Delaware’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics’ Master of Science in International Business, MS-IB, program is now accepting applications for two scholarships to incoming MS-IB students through the Paul D. Coverdell Fellows Program. Coverdell Fellows gives the over 230,000 returned Peace Corps volunteers and alumni the opportunity to continue their service in the U.S. The Lerner College’s MS-IB program was named a Coverdell Fellows partner by the Peace Corps in 2018.

This program offers returned Peace Corps volunteers financial assistance and professional experience. While pursuing a graduate degree, Coverdell Fellows will participate in a meaningful internship in an underserved community in the Delaware area.

The MS-IB program, and UD as a whole, will benefit from the Coverdell Fellows first-hand accounts of the most pressing social, cultural, economic and environmental issues of our day. They will also bring their heartfelt appreciation for the challenges facing developing and developed nations alike, which will broaden and deepen the scope of important dialogues already occurring on our campus.

Prospective Coverdell Fellows should submit their official Peace Corps description of service to the faculty director of the MS-IB program, Jennifer Gregan.
