20 percent discount for UD employees

University of Delaware men’s and women’s basketball season tickets are currently on sale as both programs are gearing up for the start of their 2017-18 seasons.

Full-time UD faculty and staff members can again purchase tickets at a 20 percent discounted rate in the center court and chairback sections. Benefits for becoming a UD basketball season ticket member include special giveaways, access to exclusive events and promotions throughout the year, and priority access to postseason tickets. At this time, it is also the only way to guarantee seats for the men’s game vs. Notre Dame on Saturday, Dec. 9.

The Blue Hen men’s team, under second-year head coach Martin Ingelsby, will play 15 games at the Bob Carpenter Center this year, its most since the 2009-10 campaign.

Excitement is high for the men’s squad. Ninety eight percent of season ticket members have already renewed their seats. Meanwhile, the number of new season ticket orders surpassed 350 as of Wednesday, Oct. 4.

Season ticket members are showing great support for first-year women’s team head coach Natasha Adair. Season ticket renewals are currently at 90 percent. The women will play 13 home games at the BOB this year.

Season tickets start at $85 for men’s games and $49 for women’s games.

Alumni discounts are also available. Men’s season tickets range from $85 for UD alumni to $180 for center court seating, with women’s tickets ranging from $49 to $125. Combo season tickets can be purchased at a special pricing discount, for as low as $89 for UD alumni and up to $250 for center court seating. All seating is subject to availability.

Courtside seating is also available at $550 for combo season tickets, $450 for men’s tickets, and $250 for women’s tickets. Courtside season ticket members will receive preferred parking and access to the BCC Club.

The Season Family 5 Pack also returns in a family-friendly area where, as in all areas of the BCC, good sportsmanship and appropriate conduct are expected at all times. The pack, which includes two adult tickets and three youth (ages 3-17) tickets, is offered for only $199 for women’s tickets, $220 for men’s tickets, and $350 for combo tickets.

Preferred Parking will be located in the front portion of the lot closest to the Bob Carpenter Center, and a parking permit will be required to enter. Parking will be directive and spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Season ticket members have the ability to purchase one season parking pass for both the men’s or women’s seasons for $100 each, or $150 for both men’s and women’s games. UD Athletics is pleased to share that General Parking will continue to be free for all games.

Group ticket discounts and youth group experiences will also be available for the 2017-18 season, with information coming later this month.
