Therapy Approach
I see clients as the experts on their lives and I strive to partner with my clients to support their growth in self-awareness, self-compassion and realization of their strengths and resiliency. My approach to therapy is greatly influenced by my training as a counseling psychologist; I see understanding context as integral to understanding our experiences of social identities and the dynamics of individual and community wellbeing. The Relational-Cultural theory informs my holistic conceptualization of client experiences and I lean on the integration of CBT and ACT-based interventions to support clients' movement toward self-identified growth.
Supervision Approach
I approach supervision through the lens of the developmental model to help guide a collaborative focus on professional and clinical growth. I strive to facilitate a trusting relationship in which supervisees can explore, gain awareness and confidence, and find their voice as they develop and integrate their professional identity.
Student Wellbeing is part of the Division of Student Life, which advances equity and inclusion, deepens student learning and drives holistic development through education, experiences and communities.
