Online International Business (M.S.) Application Process
Our graduate application system is designed to put you in control of not only the application but all documents associated with that application. We have designated areas within the application where each required document should be uploaded.
You’ll need:
1. Online Application
Begin assembling your required application materials as electronic documents before completing the online graduate application. Do not mail any documents.
2. Application Fee
A $75 application fee is due when you submit your online application.
3. Bachelor’s Degree
A four-year U.S. bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, in any academic field from an accredited college or university is required.
4. Transcripts
An unofficial transcript is required with your application. You should visit the registrar’s page of your home institution (post-high school institutions only) to print an unofficial copy to create your scan. If your home institution does not provide this service, ask for a student copy to create your scan. Do not mail official transcripts during the applicant stage. 5. Application Essay

6. Resume
A resume, or curriculum vitae, that documents your prior work experience, publications, honors and awards received, and a summary of your educational credentials.
7. Two Letters of Recommendation
You provide names and email addresses for your recommenders, and recommendation forms are emailed directly to them from the online application. Instructions are included as to how to return the completed forms electronically. You can submit your application before your letters of recommendation are complete.
8. GMAT/GRE Optional
If you are not submitting a GMAT/GRE score, please select that you request a waiver on the Test Score Waivers page of the application.
Yes, graduate departments generally allow you to transfer up to 9 credits per University of Delaware policy. View the Transfer Credit section for more information.
You’ll generally need a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

With your graduate degree in international business, you can prepare for expanding opportunities in nearly any type of organization. The M.S. in International Business is offered in online, on-campus, and hybrid formats. If you are interested in the on-campus or hybrid format, select International Business (M.S.) when completing your application. If you prefer to complete the program fully online, select Online International Business (M.S.). Once you are enrolled, you can change your program modality at any time by working with your academic advisor.
In the online program, you’ll learn from the same faculty as the on-campus program, who are trained to deliver an excellent online education. They are researchers and practitioners in their field and most have conducted or are currently conducting research in international business topics.
Time and Duration
You can earn your degree in as few as 9 months full-time, or complete the program part-time at your convenience.
We’ve designed the program for ultimate flexibility, so you can complete the degree either part-time or full-time.
Tuition and Funding
This program costs $1,149 per credit hour. For a total number of 30 credit hours, this program’s total estimated tuition is $34,470, which does not include other fees you may incur such as textbooks and the cost of living.
Merit-Based Awards
Merit-based funding opportunities listed below are available to full-time students. To remain eligible for funding, students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Graduate Scholarships – Merit-based graduate scholarships are available to exceptionally qualified full-time applicants. Awards may cover up to 25% of tuition for up to two years. No separate scholarship application is required.
Additional Scholarship Opportunities – Lerner College offers several scholarships to support students based on their connection to the University of Delaware or recent economic hardship. Only one 20% graduate scholarship may be awarded per eligible student. These scholarships cannot be combined with other University of Delaware funding, including merit-based scholarships or graduate assistantships.
- UD Alumni Support Scholarship: A 20% tuition scholarship and application fee waiver for University of Delaware alumni pursuing a Lerner graduate program.
- UD Student Support Scholarship: A 20% tuition scholarship for current UD juniors, seniors, and recent graduates enrolling in a Lerner graduate program or a 4+1 program.
- Economic Hardship Scholarship: A 20% tuition scholarship and application fee waiver for individuals who experienced job loss in 2025 or 2026.
