The 2nd Annual Public Health Exchange will bring together leaders from health care, government, community organizations, and academia for conversations about the future of public health and what it takes to turn collaboration into meaningful community impact.
Students, faculty, staff and community partners are invited to join in the University of Delaware Partnership for Healthy Communities for this full-day event on Thursday, Nov. 12, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Audion at the Tower at STAR.
Keynote speaker Dr. Nisha Lodhavia—a longtime public health and community leader who previously served as a professor of statistics and epidemiology—will join moderator Daniel Harris, assistant professor in UD’s Department of Epidemiology, for a forward-looking conversation about academic public health as infrastructure and its role in strengthening communities, supporting systems, and building meaningful partnerships.
A panel discussion will feature leaders with diverse perspectives and experiences, including Dr. David Tam, President/CEO of Beebe Healthcare, Rachel Hersh, CEO of LaRed Health Center, Kathleen McKenzie, Vice President of Community Affairs for Highmark Blue Shield and Dr. Iulia Vann, Public Health Director of Pennsylvania's Allegheny County.
The Poster Gallery Walk is an opportunity to showcase your work, connect with students and public health professionals, and highlight the impact happening across Delaware.
The event is open to the public. Registration is open through November 1. Poster submissions are open through October 16.
