Faculty and staff are invited to the grand opening celebration for the Center for Innovation in Lifelong Learning and Teaching (CILLT), Friday, Sept. 25, 3 to 6 p.m., at its new home on the third floor of the UD Bookstore, 83 E. Main St.

The event will introduce CILLT's new facility and highlight the organization's role in supporting teaching, learning and lifelong education across the University. Interim Provost Bill Farquhar and Vice Provost Kim Isett will share remarks about the new center and its vision for fostering innovation, collaboration and academic excellence.

CILLT brings together several University units dedicated to teaching excellence, learning innovation and lifelong education:

  • The Center for Teaching and Assessment of Learning (CTAL)
  • Academic Technology Services (ATS)
  • UD Online
  • Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS), including the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), Access Center, and Non-credit Professional Programs

Together, they create an integrated hub for faculty envisioned to be a one-stop shop for supporting teaching and learning needs across student populations, modalities and pedagogical approaches. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the new facility, meet members of the CILLT team and learn more about its resources and offerings. The open house will also showcase how CILLT advances teaching excellence, educational innovation and lifelong learning through partnerships across the University and the broader community.

Enjoy food, refreshments and conversation with colleagues while meeting members of the CILLT team.

Please RSVP to help organizers plan for refreshments.
