Reimagining PedAIgogy Turns to What Educators Are Building with AI
November 05, 2026
Upcoming November and December sessions
The Reimagining PedAIgogy series continues with five virtual sessions covering topics from sharing AI models without exposing student data to keeping teachers present in AI-supported learning. Sessions are offered by the Center for Innovation in Lifelong Learning & Teaching (CILLT), the Library, Museums and Press, and higher education partners.
November/December sessions
- What Your Institution Already Knows: And How to Connect It (Nov. 10, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.): How federated learning lets institutions build shared AI models without exposing FERPA-protected student data, a governance question every researcher handling student data should know.
- Building Course Assets with AI (Nov. 18, 12-1:15 p.m., Incubator Series): Four educators use AI as a working partner to build learning pathways, practice questions, and interactive teaching resources.
- AUGMENTing What Matters: Keeping Teachers Present & Learning Personal with GenAI (Dec. 2, 12-1 p.m.): Dr. Torrey Trust of UMass Amherst introduces her AUGMENT Model for keeping instructors present in AI-supported learning.
- Digital Accessibility and Course Quality (Dec. 3, 12-1:30 p.m., Incubator Series): Practitioners share tools that close accessibility and quality gaps, from WCAG reports to alt text agents.
- AI Learning Simulations (Dec. 8, 10-11:30 a.m., Incubator Series): Three builders show simulations and conversational avatars that give feedback, build skills, or assess learning.
