Walktober starts Oct. 1
September 22, 2025
UD’s annual activity challenge is open to all employees, retirees and family members
Walktober registration is open now at udhr.walktober.com. When logging begins on Oct. 1, record 4,000 steps to reveal a captivating fall video or photo, then keep moving to earn a red, orange or gold leaf by recording 6,000, 8,000 or 10,000 steps a day. You can use your favorite tracking device or simply record exercise minutes and Walktober converts them to steps for you. Each leaf earned goes toward filling your Walktober tree and contributes to UD’s overall activity goal. See how many leaves you can add to your tree — a visible reminder of your progress toward better health and vitality.
Besides tracking activity and earning leaves, motivating Walktober features include:
- Community page with an interactive social wall, real-time poll questions and the UD leaf pile
- Optional team competition to aim for a top Leaderboard spot
- Friends page to share progress and offer support
- Badges awarded for reaching milestones and logging consistently
- 200 + healthy recipes including delicious fall favorites
- NEW Walktober BINGO. Be one of the first 100 participants to bring a completed BINGO card to UDairy between Oct. 1-31 and you’ll receive a scoop on us!
Embrace the beauty of autumn in Walktober — a celebration of fall and the joy of walking.
