In response to customer feedback and continual goal to improve the campus parking system, Parking Services announces parking permit and rate changes for the permit 2025-2026 year, effective August 4, 2025. These changes support an equitable
parking system for the campus community and eliminate confusion, reduce the number of parking citations, and avoid any cost increase for more than two-thirds of permit
holders.

All student permits are now valid for 12 months, ending the need for students to purchase a summer permit for those remaining on campus. Commuting students will also have the option to purchase a yearly permit for the Center for the Arts or Trabant parking garages for added flexibility.

Other changes include one new combined Central Reserved Permit applicable for all central reserve lots, changing Lot 88 to a Red permit, the elimination of nights/weekends permit and the elimination of the monthly permit purchase option.

Finally, the permit refund date has been extended to the last ‘Drop-Add Day’ of spring semester.

Faculty and staff who have Auto Renew permits will continue to have their parking permit selections automatically rolled forward as usual. Hybrid permit holders will need to login to the Parking Portal (www.udel.edu/permits) after August 4, 2025 to renew their permit for the upcoming year. Anyone who intends to make changes to their permit should also access the Parking Portal site to make any election changes.

Parking and Transportation Services is a self-supporting university organization. All permit fees are designated for the maintenance/repair of the campus parking facilities
and Parking and Transportation operations.
