April 26 and 27: UD Botanic Gardens Annual Spring Benefit Plant Sale

Annual benefit sale features Acers (Maples), Hardy Geraniums and much more

The University of Delaware Botanic Gardens (UDBG) invites the public and the University community to shop at the UDBG Annual Spring Benefit Plant Sale, which takes place Friday, April 26, from 3 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Now in its 32nd year, the plant sale offers an exciting selection of perennials, woody plants, houseplants, tropicals and vegetables.

The 2024 featured woody plant is the genus Acer commonly known as maples. The sale boasts over a dozen different varieties including our beloved natives red maple and sugar maple. UDBG is also highlighting a variety of hardy geraniums. These perennials boast flowers throughout the summer in shades of white, pink, purple and lavender.

Your plant sale purchases directly support the gardens and programs, enabling UDBG to provide year-round resources that cultivate engaging and experiential relationships between people and plants. Over the last three decades, this sale has continued to grow and so has its impact and audience. UDBG thanks you for your support!

The UDBG Annual Spring Benefit Plant Sale is an in-person event. Held annually on campus (211 Roger Martin Lane Newark, Delaware 19716), the sale kicks off University of Delaware Ag Day, one of UD’s most popular community events.
