Spring Workshop Series on AI Literacy for Educators

Workshop series explores AI tools and literacy in the classroom and beyond

This spring, UD educators are invited to participate in the Reimagining PedAIgogy: AI Literacy for Educators series, hosted in collaboration with Information Technologies (UDIT) and the Library, Museums and Press.

This workshop series aims to equip instructors and teaching assistants with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to evaluate and thoughtfully integrate AI into their teaching toolset, consider AI’s impact on their student learning experiences, and understand the intersection of AI and academic research.

Spanning three engaging topics, the workshop series covers diverse aspects of AI application in education.

Crafting Canvas-Ready Assessments with Generative AI
Learn how to leverage generative AI tools like ChatGPT to create personalized formative and summative assessments. Gain practical insights into formatting question files for seamless integration with Canvas, enhancing student learning through AI-crafted assessments.

Using Generative AI Tools for Optimizing Writing & Research
Discover how generative AI tools such as Perplexity, Consensus, and ChatGPT can revolutionize writing and research processes. Explore effective strategies for conducting comprehensive searches and enhancing academic output.

Understanding Copyright Issues on AI Visual Tools
Engage in a thought-provoking discussion on the ethical considerations surrounding the use of AI image and video generators in education. Share experiences and concerns with colleagues from the Library, Museums and Press over a casual coffee hour.

Each workshop offers hands-on experiences and facilitated discussions. Participants are encouraged to bring smart devices for interactive sessions.
