Have you ever wanted help creating a new course or revising an existing one?

Consider joining your colleagues and the Center for Teaching and Assessment of Learning (CTAL) – UD’s University-wide hub for teaching support – on June 6-9, 2023, for a personalized course (re)design experience.

CTAL experts will guide faculty as they create a new course or revise an existing one. During this multi-day workshop, faculty will:

  • create new or revised student learning outcomes (SLOs) that are clear, measurable and meaningful for their specific course,
  • design a major assignment and or exam that emerges from those SLOs
  • plan learning activities that prepare students for major assignments or exams
  • create an inclusive syllabus based on the UD Syllabus Template.

UD’s 3.5-day Course Design Institute will take place from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., Tuesday, June 6, through Thursday, June 8, and the fourth day, Friday, June 9, will take place from 8:30 a.m. - noon. Coffee and a light breakfast, as well as lunch and afternoon snacks, will be provided. Those who register are expected to attend and participate in the entire program.

All instructors of record are welcome to register. Graduate students must be listed as an instructor of record for a course during the 2023-24 academic year in order to register.

Registration is limited to 45 participants. Registration will open through April 10 or until seats are filled.
