Enter a colleague or a team into HR’s Hen High Five Raffle

Over 1,300 Hen High Fives have been delivered since Employee Appreciation Day this past March!

University of Delaware Human Resources is launching a monthly prize raffle to help shine a light on our peer-to-peer Hen High Five recognition program. The next time you send a Hen High Five, to a team or colleague, they will be entered to win a $100 gift card* (pre-tax). When we practice gratitude it strengthens relationships, increases motivation and inspires a sense of camaraderie. High Five-able moments are ones that exemplify our UD values.

To increase the impact of your Hen High Five, follow these tips for effective recognition:

— Make it timely. The sooner you send your Hen High Five, the more connected your recipient will feel to your note of appreciation.

— Make it meaningful. Let your recipient know exactly how their actions impacted you, your team and/or your work.

— Make it known. Check-in with your recipient to see how they like to be recognized. If they’re comfortable with sharing, forward their Hen High Five to a manager, team or work group for an extra boost of recognition.

Over 1,300 Hen High Fives have been delivered since Employee Appreciation Day this past March. Continue to build a culture of appreciation and send a Hen High Five.

*All non-student employees (faculty, staff, full-time and misc.-wage) are eligible to earn one chance to win per month. Gift card prizes are subject to taxation.
