Learn how to build relationships with diverse businesses

All members of the University of Delaware community are invited to the 2023 Supplier Diversity Conference, scheduled from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, in Clayton Hall on the Laird Campus in Newark.

As part of its commitment to inclusive excellence, the University is working to build relationships with small, minority-owned, veteran-owned, women-owned, disabled-owned and other disadvantaged businesses so that the supplier base is as diverse as the community.

The goal of the conference is to foster mutually beneficial relationships that add value to the University, while also contributing to the development of diverse businesses in partnership with Procurement Services and the Small Business Development Center.

At the March 1 event, participants will be able to sign up for workshop sessions scheduled from 10-10:45 a.m.; 11-11:45 a.m.; and 1:15-2 p.m. Topics will include “Bonding and Insurance Facts,” ”Capability Statement Workshop,” “Essential Marketing: Social Media Presence,” “Missed Opportunities: Positioning Yourself for Success,” “Responsive Bidding” and more.

In addition, there will be opportunities for networking and one-on-one meetings with suppliers and with UD purchasing staff.

Registration for the conference is now open and available online.
