Popular smoke detectors recalled

Kidde has announced that it is recalling about 226,000 smoke alarms and smoke/carbon monoxide alarms over safety concerns.
Environmental Health and Safety advises that this brand is not used in University of Delaware facilities.
Members of the University community who have may one of these alarms in their homes should contact Kidde. A step-by-step guide to submitting a recall claim is available at www.kiddetsalarmrecall.rsvpcomm.com.
Recalled models are Kidde Model Series 2040, 2050, 2060 and 2070 smoke and combination smoke/carbon monoxide alarms. Many recalled units have the TruSense logo or "AMBER=FAULT" printed on the front.
