Two-hour training session Jan. 22 to help Blue Hens recognize signs of distress
The University of Delaware's Center for Counseling and Student Development is hosting an suicide prevention training for University of Delaware faculty, staff and graduate students on Friday, Jan. 22.
The Campus Connect Gatekeeper Training is scheduled for 1-3 p.m. on Zoom. The training is available at no cost to all faculty, staff and graduate students; however, advance registration is requested.
Throughout this session, participants will learn to recognize various signs of student distress and signals of potential suicide. Interactive sessions and case scenarios will enable attendees to familiarize themselves with phases of crisis and to build confidence in holding conversations with students about their concerns.
