Feb. 5: Suicide Prevention Training for faculty, staff, grad students

Two hour training helps Blue Hens recognize signs of distress

The University of Delaware Center for Counseling and Student Development is hosting a suicide prevention training for UD faculty, staff and graduate students on Friday, Feb. 5.

The Campus Connect Gatekeeper Training is scheduled for 3-5 p.m. on Zoom.
The training is available at no cost to all faculty, staff and graduate students; however, advance registration is requested.

Throughout this session, participants will learn to recognize various signs
of student distress and signals of potential suicide. Interactive sessions and
case scenarios will enable attendees to familiarize themselves with phases
of crisis and to build confidence in holding conversations with students
about their concerns.

Any questions about the training may be directed to the Center for
Counseling and Student Development at 302-831-2141.
