COVID-19 testing set Aug. 7 on STAR campus

Members of the UD community may sign up on first-come, first-served basis

The University of Delaware is partnering with Delaware Emergency Management (DEMA) to offer drive-through COVID-19 testing this Friday, Aug. 7, on the STAR Campus.

Testing is open to the University community, with or without symptoms of COVID-19. Any students who are on campus may register for this test. There is no charge.

The testing event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, and the availability of tests is on a first-come, first-served basis; registration is required. To register, visit https://delaware.curativeinc.com/walkup/554.

Please note that testing starts at 9 a.m., and this is typically the busiest time. It is less busy after 10:30 a.m.

You will remain inside your vehicle during the testing. Please watch this video to learn how to perform the test, and please do not eat, drink or brush your teeth 20 minutes prior to the test. Individuals will receive their test results via email within 24-48 hours.

Employees are permitted to step away from their UD duties to complete this testing. You are asked to notify your supervisor of your time slot and related short absence.

A specific traffic pattern has been established for this event. All testing-related traffic must enter STAR Campus through Discovery Boulevard, the southernmost entrance on South College Avenue. Please have your UDID ready upon arrival.

If you have questions, visit the state of Delaware’s FAQs on testing or email coronavirus@udel.edu.
