Fall 2019 Department of Music Concert Season Announced

Free Faculty Gala kicks off the new season

Curious about classical? Jazzed about jazz? Open to opera?

Come as you are, clap when you want, sit where you wish here at the University of Delaware's Department of Music. 

Fall 2019 highlights include:

The Faculty Gala opens the concert season on Friday, Sept. 13 at 8 p.m. in Mitchell Hall, featuring four new UD Music faculty members making their Delaware debuts.

The internationally acclaimed Calidore String Quartet, now UD’s Ensemble-in-Residence, begins Beethoven’s 250th birthday season with the first of six all-Beethoven concerts on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 3 p.m. at Gore Recital Hall.

Indigo, the young artists of UD Opera Theatre, present a Fall Cabaret evening for Parent’s Weekend Oct. 19 and the musical Little Women Nov. 15 and Nov. 17.

The UD Jazz Ensembles and Faculty Jazz, UD Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Chorale and Schola Cantorum present masterworks and new works September through December in University and regional venues. For information and ticketing for UD Music events, visit www.music.udel.edu.
