Good Uncle

New food delivery option on campus

Dining Services partners with food delivery app Good Uncle

Members of the University of Delaware community can now order food to be delivered to popular drop points around campus this fall. The new partnership between Dining Services and New York City-based Good Uncle allows clients to get the company’s meals delivered in an average of just 21 minutes, with no fees or minimums on any order.

The University of Delaware is currently one of the eight campuses partnered with Good Uncle throughout the Northeast, with an anticipated expansion to Virginia and North Carolina soon.

Chief Culinary Officer Erik Battes, former Iron Chef and Starr Restaurant alum, crafted a multicategory menu with his team of all-star chefs, ranging from healthy salads and bowls to pasta and ethnic plates. Spoon University claimed that Good Uncle is “taking food delivery to a whole new level,” highlighting popular dishes like the Penne alla Vodka and Korean BBQ Plate as their favorites. Other items that have been popular among students at UD are the Buffalo Mac and Cheese, Roasted Chicken Plate and Southwest Salad.

How the Good Uncle app works:

  • Step 1 - Select one of 15 drop points on or off campus and see estimated delivery time.
  • Step 2 - Choose from over 20 menu items.
  • Step 3 - Track your order live in the app and they’ll text you when to pick it up.

All UD students who download the app by Nov. 1 will get their first meal for free, courtesy of the University and its commitment to bringing convenient food options to busy students.
