The University of Delaware Synchronized Skating Team won its 20th title at the 2019 Eastern Sectional Championships, held Jan. 31-Feb. 2 in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Skating to music selections from the soundtrack of The Greatest Showman, the Blue Hens earned a score of 83.66, which placed them 16 points above the second-place team.

Competitors in the collegiate event included Boston University, Liberty University, the University of Massachusetts and others.

This win qualifies the Blue Hens to attend the Nationals Championships at the end of February and beginning of March in Plymouth, Massachusetts, where they will take on such institutions as Miami University of Ohio, University of Michigan, Michigan State and Western Michigan University.
