As the 2019-2020 academic year begins, the University of Delaware Transportation Department has planned significant changes.

Summer bus routes will end on Friday, August 23, at 10:10 pm. Move-in weekend the buses will operate a modified schedule, Saturday Aug. 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., and Sunday Aug. 25, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight). Regular semester UD bus service will resume Monday, Aug. 26.

Beginning Monday, August 26, the UD Shuttle system will begin using DoubleMap for vehicle tracking. DoubleMap offers iOS and Google apps to conveniently track all the UD buses that are in service. The information on routes will also available on the website,  www.udshuttle.doublemap.com, on Aug. 26.

Student housing around Newark has changed slightly over the summer with University Court Yard Apartment conversion to a UD residence hall. The bus stop for this new addition to our residence halls is located on South Chapel Street. Another noteworthy change is that the former Studio Green and Park Place Apartments are now Thorn Flats and Lehigh Flats, respectively. UD Shuttle service will not have any stops on Thorn Lane or at Park Place and Willa Road. A new stop has been created on Elkton Road just after Short Lane in front of Lehigh Flats.
