"I Can Do That" Fair

Theatre-oriented student group partners with UD Career Center to make career preparation accessible

The Harrington Theatre Arts Company (HTAC) is a registered student organization at the University of Delaware whose mission is to give students the opportunity to get involved and serve as leaders in all aspects of their theatrical productions.

On Wednesday, April 10, HTAC hosted a professional development-themed festival outside of the Perkins Student Center to promote their upcoming show A Chorus Line. The event was entitled the “I Can Do That” fair - named after a song in the production and the idea that with just a few steps of professional development, students’ career goals are just within reach. This event was awarded the UD Faculty and Staff Career Innovation Grant. More information about this grant can be found here: https://www.udel.edu/students/career-services-center/faculty/

Through a partnership with the UD Career Center, HTAC was able to offer students drop-in peer resume reviews, free head shots, networking tips, raffles and a variety of festival foods, including popcorn, cotton candy, and UDairy. Students can also visit the Career Center at 401 Academy Street anytime Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to receive free career advice, resume and cover letter assistance, head shots, and more.

HTAC’s production of A Chorus Line will be in Pearson Hall on Thursday-through-Saturday (April 18-20) at 8pm. Tickets are $5 with a UD ID and $10 general admission. Connect with the Harrington Theatre Arts Company on Facebook and Instagram (@htactheatre) and visit udhtac.org for more information about upcoming productions.
