HenFunder - UD crowdfunding platform relaunched

Students, faculty and staff can use it to support projects that benefit UD

The University of Delaware has launched a new online fundraising platform, HenFunder, previously known as UD CrowdFunding.

UD students, faculty and staff can launch crowdfunding campaigns of their own to support specific projects that benefit UD via the HenFunder website. The new platform, which is more intuitive and customizable, offers a variety of enhanced features and ways for users to hand-tailor their experience.

“You’re creating the pages and adding the content you want to showcase your project; it’s a smooth experience from start to finish,” said Julie Donohue, assistant director of digital fundraising. “The improvements will drive the University’s mission and provide support to those who need it.”

New features include:

  • Informative dashboard, which allows for visible updates and comments.

  • Social-media integration to share instantly on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

  • Controls made easy with the push of a button.

  • Donations viewable in real time.

Most importantly, 100 percent of the money raised supports UD projects.

Past UD crowdfunding projects have supported:

  • Travel costs for the Rubber Chickens to attend a comedy event in Chicago.

  • Engineers Without Borders and their efforts bringing clean water to Malawi.

  • The African Violet Scholarship.
