With this election, Holland will serve on the Board of Officers and Directors at the highest levels of leadership for the association: as president-elect, then president (2018-19), and past president (2019-20). The AAEE provides resources and networking opportunities to connect higher education and school systems, both nationally and internationally.

In her three-year term, Holland will lead the association toward fulfilling its mission to serve as an innovative leader in the preparation and employment of educators. Her goals include expanding the use of technology and virtual resources to enhance the work of the association, growing association membership and identifying and supporting innovative programs designed to help curb the nationwide decline in enrollment in teacher education programs.

Holland has worked in UD’s Career Services Center for more than 30 years and is an integral part of the team. She provides career coaching and counseling to students, as well as works to arrange opportunities for students interested in education and helping professions to meet with school districts and employers and ensure success after graduation.
