Utility project scheduled on South Green

Installation of new chilled water lines will affect pedestrian walkways

Starting in mid-December, a project to install new underground chilled water lines is underway on the University of Delaware's South Green.

Signage has been posted in the area to direct pedestrians around the construction. Temporary fencing is being installed on The Green between Memorial Hall, Alison Annex and Morris Library, as indicated in the accompanying map. Pedestrian access to Memorial Hall, Morris Library and Alison Hall will be maintained.

The overall project involves the installation of new steam and chilled water lines and is scheduled to take almost a year to complete. Phase A of the project is scheduled to continue until Mid-March. At that point the temporary fencing locations will be modified to allow construction to occur in other locations of the South Green.
