Greta Nauck named All-American in field hockey

Senior completes career as UD’s career-leader in points

University of Delaware field hockey player Greta Nauck will finish her Blue Hen career as a three-time All-American because the senior was named Tuesday, Dec. 4 to the Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-American Second Team.

"Congratulations to Greta for this honor," Delaware head coach Rolf van de Kerkhof said. "As a three-time All-American, she can look back on a strong overall performance as a Blue Hen in which she contributed to the success of the University of Delaware field hockey program during her four years in Newark. Greta's growth and experiences as a Blue Hen will provide guidance and opportunities for her in playing the sport she loves at the highest level upon returning home to Germany after graduation."

Nauck, also a three-time All-Colonial Athletic Association first team selection, led Delaware this season with 39 points on 13 goals and 13 assists.

The forward previously earned first team accolades during the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

She wrapped her illustrious career as a four-time All-Region honoree while logging a program-record 198 career points on 82 goals and 34 assists, a mark good for sixth in the CAA record books and ties for 26th in NCAA history.  Her 82 goals are also good to tie for fourth in the CAA record books and 24th in NCAA history.

Nauck is a management major from Krefeld, Germany.
