Performance appraisal deadline extended

Completed forms to be submitted by April 30

University of Delaware Human Resources has extended the deadline for employee performance appraisals to April 30.

These annual appraisals, originally due March 31, cover the time period from Feb. 1, 2017, to Jan. 31, 2018.

The appraisal provides a written record of an employee's major job duties, goals and competencies, as well as the supervisor's assessment of performance. The goal is to improve job understanding, encourage effective performance and establish goals that support unit and career development.

In addition, the appraisal provides information to support merit salary determinations and other personnel actions. The appraisal becomes part of the employee's permanent personnel file.
