Kimberly Reinagel-Nietubicz named senior policy analyst in executive vice president’s office

Alan Brangman, executive vice president and University treasurer at the University of Delaware, has announced that Kimberly Reinagel-Nietubicz will be joining his office as a senior policy analyst, effective April 17.

In her new role at UD, Reinagel-Nietubicz will provide strategic leadership and oversight in the management and implementation of a wide range of special projects, some of which may have institution-wide impact. She will undertake research for the office, while providing evaluation and interpretation of trends as well as emerging issues within higher education and the community at large. She also will be instrumental in developing reports, engaging in discussions and analyzing projections/materials in support of the development and strategic recommendations consistent with the University’s mission.

Reinagel-Nietubicz currently serves as the chief of fiscal and policy analysis in the state of Delaware’s Office of the Controller General. She was responsible for coordinating the development of the grant-in-aid bill and was the budget coordinator for the annual appropriations act. Additional duties included providing direction on the development of policy and budget documents, and she worked closely with the Joint Finance Committee on policy recommendations, assisted in analyzing complex statewide and multi-departmental programs. She also interpreted statues, developed legislation and provided assistance with implementing legislation.

Previously she served as a senior legislative assistant, and she also spent time in the Department of Health and Human Services as well as in the Office of Management and Budget as a policy analyst.

A UD alumna, Reinagel-Nietubicz earned her master of public administration degree in health policy and financial management at UD’s School of Public Policy and Administration. She also hold a bachelor’s degree in public administration and political science from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
