Hen Hatch 2017

Tickets to UD’s premier startup funding competition now on sale

University of Delaware Horn Entrepreneurship’s premier startup funding competition, Hen Hatch, will be held from 5-9 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, at World Café Live at the Queen in Wilmington, Delaware.

Six teams will compete for a $100,000-plus total prize pool. Tickets purchased before April 8 receive a 50 percent discount: $10 for students and $25 for faculty, staff and community members. Tickets can be purchased here or www.udel.edu/henhatch.

Hen Hatch is a startup funding competition in which teams pitch their ideas in front of a panel of seasoned leaders and entrepreneurs. There are two tracks: student and alumni, faculty and staff. Three teams from each track compete for the $100,000-plus prize pool, which includes cash and in-kind donations.

Admission to Hen Hatch includes a networking reception, award ceremony and Innovation Showcase, an exhibition of University of Delaware innovation projects and startup businesses. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments, including beer and wine, will be provided.

After April 8, tickets to Hen Hatch 2017 will be $20 for students and $50 for faculty, staff and community members.
