Married couples sought for research project

Researchers study couples’ views about themselves, spouses

University of Delaware researchers are seeking married couples to take part in a study designed to understand individuals’ views about themselves and their spouses.

The research is being conducted by Lisa Jaremka, assistant professor of psychological and brain sciences and director of the Close Relationships and Health Lab at UD.

Couples ages 30-60 and married for at least three years may be eligible to take part in the study, which will require them to attend two five-hour sessions on the UD campus and to have their blood tested for specific substances.

During each session, both members of the couple will provide blood samples and will answer questionnaires. Participants must arrive at each 9 a.m.-2 p.m. session having fasted since the previous evening.

Participants can earn up to $320 each ($640 per couple) and will receive free parking on campus, a small breakfast snack and additional food at the end of each session.

More information about the study, which runs through December 2019, is available on this website, where interested participants can complete a brief survey to determine their eligibility.
