On-Campus Information
Parking on campus will be free throughout Parents and Family Weekend. Parking maps can be found here. We recommend parking your vehicle near the bulk of your activities and traveling on foot when possible.
Hotels in the area tend to fill up quickly. Visit our area hotels page for more details and reservations.
Accommodations are available through Disability Support Services (DSS) for individuals with disabilities to ensure accessibility to University classes and programs. Contact DSS by calling 302-831-4643 or email dssoffice@udel.edu if you need a reasonable accommodation.
The UD Barnes and Noble Bookstore is located at 83 East Main St.
Hours of Operation
- Monday through Thursday: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
- Friday: 10 a.m.–8 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m.–8 p.m.
- Sunday: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Things to do Around Campus
- Hike the trails in White Clay Creek State Park or Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area
- Shop local on Main Street
- Treat yourself at UDairy Creamery
- Explore the University of Delaware Museums
- Take in the city views from the Newark Reservoir
- Engage with history at the Newark History Museum

Directions from the North and South:
Take I-95 to Delaware Exit #1, Route 896 North. Continue North on Route 896 which becomes South College Avenue (do not turn left at Route 896 and Route 4) and takes you to campus. Turn right from South College Avenue onto East Park Place. Turn left at the next light onto Academy Street. The Career Center will be on your right (401 Academy Street). Enter the Career Center through the white enclosure.
