A Note on Accessibility Checkers

While the University is in the process of implementing an accessibility checker for campus-wide use, there are many free tools available on the web.

We recommend using something like the Siteimprove browser plug-in for Chrome, Edge, Opera and Firefox or the WAVE browser plug-in for Chrome, Firefox and Edge.

It is important to note that automated accessibility checkers only catch approximately 30% of accessibility issues, and can sometimes give you false positives and false negatives, which is why it is important to also manually test your website.
