Disruptive Event Management (DEM) includes a range of supportive interventions designed to enhance a person’s natural resilience, facilitating individual and workgroup return-to-functioning.
When to request: If an individual or team has been impacted by a disruptive event like:
- Employee, family or student deaths
- On-the-job accident
- Downsizing or reductions in force
- Natural disaster
- Workplace violence
Who should request: Mangers or HR partners can request onsite services by following the steps in the DEM flow chart. Managers and HR partners should work together to coordinate services and ensure the smooth delivery of care.
