Therapy Approach

As a therapist, I believe a warm, authentic and gently challenging relationship is central to making change. I work with my clients to understand the history, context and function of what brought them to therapy before examining paths forward to change. Thoughts, feelings and behaviors emerge out of a striving to meet relational and personal needs in challenging environments which therapy works to understand and create new paths towards living a fulfilling life.

Supervision Approach

My approach to supervision is highly collaborative, implicitly strengths-based and developmentally informed. I seek to create an authentic, caring and curious relationship with my supervisees to serve as the foundation for vulnerability, mutual respect and professional growth. I intentionally center issues of power and privilege by holding a non-defensive stance that meets trainees where they are in their professional growth.
