The Nurse Managed Primary Care Center is expanding its mental health services to patients living with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers, thanks to a community grant provided by the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Through its 2020 Community Grants program, the Foundation is providing more than $1.5 million in funding nationally for 117 programs supporting local health, education and wellness for people with Parkinson’s disease.
With the funding, UD’s Nurse Managed Primary Clinic, located on the STAR Campus, will provide mental health services via telehealth for those with Parkinson’s and their caregivers. The hour long monthly sessions will be conducted by Dr. Roseanne D. Dobkin via Zoom or Doxy. To schedule an appointment, call (302) 831-3195.
“Through a generous grant from the Parkinson’s Foundation, the University of Delaware Parkinson’s Clinic is able to expand mental health services to patients and their caregivers across the State of Delaware,” said NMPC Director Carolyn Haines. “We are very pleased to enhance the health and wellbeing of Parkinson patients and their caregivers and are grateful to the Parkinson Foundation for their support.”
