Nationally recognized expert to visit UD
Active Minds at UD, a registered student organization, will host a free public event with Greg Vogt, an expert on mental health, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, in the Multipurpose Room at Trabant University Center.
Vogt, of Sacramento, California, serves as the director of clinical outreach at Charlie Health, a national mental health treatment program for adolescents, teens, and young adults. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Vogt is the author of The Battle Against Yourself, a powerful memoir about his personal mental health journey. His advocacy work has reached schools, universities and workplaces nationwide, inspiring communities to prioritize mental health and support one another. He works to normalize the conversation about mental health, empower students to help others and foster a culture of hope, empathy and connection.
Active Minds is a nationwide student-based mental health advocacy program on college campuses that is dedicated to eradicating the stigma associated with mental illness.
