Enrollment for the 2026 calendar year Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) is now open for eligible University of Delaware employees. The enrollment window closes on Nov. 14, 2025.

FSAs allow employees to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible out-of-pocket health care and dependent care expenses. For full details, visit the Human Resources Benefits website.

For 2026, the maximum annual contribution to the Health Care FSA has increased to $3,400 per employee. The Dependent Care FSA limit has also increased to $7,500 per family.

Important reminders when selecting your FSA contribution amount:

• Enrollment is required each year to participate. FSAs do not automatically renew, including for employees hired in 2025.
• The FSA plan year runs from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2026.
• Any unused funds not spent by the end of the plan year, including the 2.5-month grace period, will be forfeited.
• For any remaining funds for the 2025 calendar year, the IRS permit a grace period through March 15, 2026, for participants to incur eligible expenses that may be reimbursed. Claims for 2025 contributions must be submitted to ASIFlex by April 30, 2026.
