Henscast 24/7, a student-run all-sports radio brand, is the third channel launched by the station
The University of Delaware’s student-run radio station, WVUD, has scored a hat trick.
The station has launched Henscast 24/7, an all-sports student-led radio brand, which is the third in its 57-year history.
The channel joins 91.3 FM and sister station “The Basement” (WVUD HD-2) under the student media banner at WVUD. It will provide another home for UD sports game coverage and shows, which will continue to be a part of WVUD’s regular broadcasting schedule.
“Henscast 24/7 shines a brighter spotlight on the fantastic sportscasting work being done by UD students,” said Steve Kramarck, associate director for student centers and WVUD station manager. “We are also very thankful to UD Athletics for their continued support of our students and the access that they provide.”
Henscast 24/7 will be available online via multiple streaming applications, and also at 91.3 HD-3 on terrestrial radio. HD radio technology is available in many automobiles and consumer home units.

The station will be operated by WVUD sports director and senior media communications major Sanaa Mason, who will lead a staff of student broadcasters.
“Our members are all talented individuals, and it will be great to have the experience to show what we can do,” Mason said.
In addition to live play-by-play action of various UD sports, player and coach interviews, and weekly sports wrap-ups, the station will feature classic student broadcasts from past years and content from external collaborators. One of these collaborators is the Philadelphia Flyers. Henscast 24/7 and the Flyers will share hockey-related content across their platforms.
“We are thrilled to deepen our partnership with the University of Delaware and support the launch of Henscast 24/7,” said Brian Smith, director of broadcasting and content for the Flyers. “The opportunity to amplify Flyers and UD Hockey content across each other’s platforms makes progress towards our shared mission of growing the game of hockey in our region, and we are grateful to be included in the pilot group for this program.”
The Delaware Sports Hall of Fame will also contribute to this endeavor. Located at Frawley Stadium in Wilmington, the Delaware Sports Hall recognizes the greats in Delaware sports history.
“The Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame is proud to bring stories to WVUD listeners about the men and women from Delaware who have distinguished themselves in sports over the past century,” said Delaware Sports Hall of Fame president Chuck Durante.
Henscast 24/7 began a soft launch of the webstream in June and will begin terrestrial HD broadcast on Tuesday, July 15. New student content will begin to air at the start of the 2025-26 school year. More information will be available at wvud.org.
