The University of Delaware’s Writing Center is offering two weekly writing groups during Winter Session 2026. One session is designed for graduate students, the other for seniors who are completing a senior thesis.

The Writing Together group is open to any UD graduate student who wants the accountability and camaraderie of writing together. The group will meet virtually every Friday from 1-3 p.m., beginning Friday, Jan. 2. Participants should expect to spend most of the session working on their own writing projects, with brief check-ins at the start and close of each meeting. The group will not feature a common reader or weekly presentations, although short discussions of writing topics are possible if the participants are interested.

The Senior Thesis Squad writing group is specifically for undergraduate students working on senior thesis projects, no matter where they are in the process of developing their project. The group will meet virtually on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon, beginning Wednesday, Jan. 7. While this group does not focus on writing instruction and peer review, those activities can be added based on participant interest.
