UD research will be showcased at Spark! Symposium Oct. 30
The University of Delaware Graduate College invites all UD graduate students and postdoctoral scholars to submit proposals by Aug. 20 for the upcoming Spark! Symposium, taking place Oct. 30 from 4-7 p.m. at the Audion on UD’s Science, Technology and Advanced Research (STAR) Campus.
Held twice a year, the Spark! Symposium celebrates the innovative research and creative endeavors happening across UD. Whether the work involves making strides in engineering, agriculture or the sciences; shaping conversations in policy, social sciences or education; or expressing new ideas in the arts and humanities — Spark! offers a platform to share and showcase innovation.
Why present?
Selected presenters will receive personalized coaching and small-group training to sharpen their presentation and research communication skills, a valuable opportunity for professional growth and increased visibility.
Hear from a past presenter
“Participating in the Spark! Symposium significantly enhanced my public speaking skills by teaching me how to communicate with clarity and confidence, while actively engaging my audience to create meaningful connections,” said Alex Ambrose, a fall 2024 Spark! presenter and Glow Award recipient.
Whether it’s developing new technologies, informing public understanding, solving real-world challenges or expressing ideas through artistic and creative practice, the Spark! Symposium offers an opportunity to share research stories and connect with fellow innovators across disciplines.
